The Rights Of Man (http://therightsofman.typepad.co.uk/the_rights_of_man/)
The UK's leading website for raising issues about gender discrimination and sexual discrimination against men in the UK.
It has taken eight(8) years, three(3) as yet unsuccessful divorce filings, a year plus another 2 months since a still judge unsigned "final hearing" later - to fully realize how the deliberate "politicization" of my family, by females in general, has ultimately led to the complete abandonment of my children altogether! It is all too easy to "consider the kids", now 11 and 12, when one indeed has custody but since nobody else seems to care what becomes of them WHY SHOULD I? (as soon to be "ex-wife" continues to cry "foul" in her efforts to have all criminalize me!)
"Playing by the rules" has got my children and I absolutely nowhere so vengence, being the only recourse I am left with, will continue to take the form of her (and kids) squatting in some taxpayer assisted "women's shelter" and "therapy" office somewhere while I, in voluntarily maintaining "no-contact", allow our empty, unused by anyone children's home head straight into foreclosure! I did not start this but am determined to finish it - I hope yer proud of your example *feminists* - as I now officially use my kids "well being & happiness" to press "the male agenda" too; am "getting back" At You On Principal so put that in yer *stats* and smoke it, if you dare can!
The male lawyers, both hers and traitorous mine,
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE PROTECTION ORDERS AND THE CONSPIRACY OF
SILENCE ON MALE VICTIMS OF DOMESTIC AND SEXUAL ABUSE (http://therightsofman.typepad.co.uk/the_rights_of_man/2010/11/domestic-violence-protection-orders-and-the-conspiracy-of-silence-on-male-victims-of-domestic-and-se.html) One of the most distressing things when you are a group that continues to fail to get a fair deal is when the media and politics continue and purposely marginalise you. Often and this site has raised it, it is a form of discrimination by omission . . . Today, has been a classic example of how discrimination against men continues to be endemic in the uK. It is no surprise on the International Day of the Elimination of Violence against Women and Girls.right
Over the past 10 days several pieces of note have been published regarding shared parenting, roles of the court, and government's role in undermining family stability. Dr. Stephen Baskerville, author of 'Taken Into Custody' and former ACFC President, was quoted extensively in this article from The Philadelphia Bulletin yesterday.* The article title; "No-fault Divorce Greater Threat to Marriage Than Gay Marriage (http://www.thebulletin.us/ARTICLES/2010/09/27/NEWS/NATION/DOC4CA0A6E6D20AF494691030.TXT)" is a bit off the mark.* Baskerville's primary point is that government policies and resulting statutes and programming are themselves the source of society's family breakdown problems.* In inimitable Baskerville style he goes on to 'connects the dots.' *While Baskerville chides conservatives for not properly understanding the underlying issues his message is one people of all persuasions should hear.

According to Dr. Stephen Baskerville, professor of political science at Patrick Henry College and author of Taken Into Custody: The War Against Fathers, Marriage, and the Family, the government “is engaged in a direct assault on the family” that is causing family breakdown – which, in turn, allows government to reach into yet more areas of civil society under the pretext of solving the problems that the breakdown of the family creates.
“I would go so far as to say that family breakdown is the major engine driving domestic government expansion and spending: crime, substance abuse, educational failure, law enforcement,” Dr. Baskerville told LifeSiteNews.com (LSN). “All these costs are attributable to single-parent homes more than any other single factor.” Dr. Baskerville claimed that the government promotes family breakdown through “a panoply of destructive laws” linked to divorce.
“Unlike cultural threats to the family, divorce is a government regime,” he stated. “It is not eroding the family; it is quite deliberately dismantling it."
As we have come to expect from Dr. Baskerville, he writes a masterful expose of the divorce industry and it's consequences for society. "You get what you pay for", he writes, and with "no fault" divorce, we have gotten a host of societal ills. Driven first by feminist rhetoric, then by government subsidies, no fault has dramatically increased the rate of divorce, with 88% being filed by women, because that's who stands to profit most.
Unfortunately, it's the children who suffer most, tending toward a life of drug and alcohol abuse, crime and incarceration, academic failure, mental illness and suicide. But the break up of families is the desired end goal, not the welfare of children or society. No fault divorce may be a greater threat to marriage than gay marriage, but they can be seen as partners in the destruction of family as the cornerstone of our Republic.
It is as much a national political concern as it is a gender concern.
